With a gentle smile, kind heart, and resonant mid-Atlantic tone, John has entertained audiences at festivals, theaters, colleges, coffee houses, pubs, uber vehicles, rooftops, and elevators. Armed with folk music, performing from Martinsburg to Moscow and Carolina to Connecticut, John strums his guitar, singing songs of hope, courage, sacrifice, indulgence, and love. An entertainer for all!
John carries an accumulation of tales from a lifetime of experience and no two stories are ever quite the same. Drawing from a range of styles, John is inspired by Bob Shane, Walt Whitman, Steve Goodman, Shel Silverstein, Seamus Kennedy, and Larry Miller, but receives most of his bard sense from his father, John Sr. John's ability to weave story into life occupies the imagination and stimulates every emotion of his audiences.
Life as it is abstractly imagined by a strolling minstrel, displayed, bringing dark corners to light, John's art dashes the spirit with curiosity and fluid excitement. Experimental colors bravely reflect the mania for an altered perspective, translating passion into simple yet bold expressions.
